Right in the centre of Motala, also known as Östergötlands Lake Town, lies Hotel City.

Hotel City has a long history as one of the most popular hotels in Motala, both for tourists and business travelers alike. As early as 1961, the first guests were welcomed and since then, thousands of satisfied guests have checked in and out of the hotel. With 55 hotel rooms, a traditional pub with a small summer terrace and a beautiful conference room, the Hotel City offers all you can require of a pleasant hotel visit. The hotel is under the same management as the Hotell Nostalgi in Motala harbour, a five minute walk away.

In recent years, the hotel has been renovated and redecorated in a genuine marine theme that blends well into the lakeside environment of Motala.

Just a few minutes walk from the hotel you reach the natural gathering place of Motala, namely Motala harbour. Explore the harbours many restaurants, bars, cafés, ice cream parlours and small shops. You can also watch all the canal boats and leisure boats moored in the harbour.

Last but not least, Motala is the proud location of Scandinavia's most visited Motor Museum, displaying an impressive collection of nostalgic items from the past, well worth a visit. As a guest with us, you always have free admission to the Motala Motor Museum.
